Street Feast is back! After a successful run over the summer in Dalston, Lewisham and Battersea Power Station, the street food market is bringing their food-focused party to a food arena in Canada Water.
A few years back I visited the original Hawker House in Haggerton, an indoor venue taking over three floors in a disused office block. On each floor there were food traders, bars and DJs. There are also plenty of tables and seats, as well as comfy sofas in the top floor’s lounge bar.
I visited Hawker House on their first day of trading last Friday and I can report that the Street Feast atmosphere and amazing food is 100% back!
The first floor was all about meat with Smokestak, Boom Burger and Dogtown.
On the second floor was one of my favourite street food traders: Malaysian Chicken Satay Burger with Sambal by Sambal Shiok.
My husband Sandy showing how to eat a Sambal Shiok slider! ;)
Also on the same floor: Baba Gupta and BOB’s Lobster with their fantastic Crab Roll and Lobster Mac ‘n’ Cheese.
Kamm and Sons was also back with the #BritSpritz Bar, serving cocktails prepared with skills and quality ingredients. Kamm’s own spirit is a bitter-sweet botanical spirit distilled in London using ginseng, grapefruit peels and manuka honey.
Excited already? There’s plenty more on the third floor with Breddos Tacos and tostadas as the main food offer, plus the wine and whisky bars and Milk & Honey Mercury Lounge cocktail bar.
Different food traders are going to be showcased at Hawker House over the next ten weeks, so there’s always a good excuse to visit again!
