Summer Berries Porridge Smoothie

05/02/2012

Just in time before the end of the week, here it comes my Food for Runners recipe! This week I was looking for healthy breakfast ideas, something to give you fuel for a morning run and set you up for the day.

Now, if you google “runners breakfast”, porridge will surely come up as top result! Oats are healthy, filling and carbohydrates, so perfect for running. Personally I am not a fan, no matter how hard I try to like them during my wheat-free “detox” periods. So instead of warm porridge, I have used this recipe for Porridge Smoothie, a shake of milk, yogurt, oats and fresh fruit!

I had the most fun prepping up for the photo shoot in my bedroom and balcony! I really love the macro shots of blueberries and strawberries and I hope you will do too! :)

I adore the photography – the colours are amazing. The recipe for this is great too, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a porridge smoothie before!
