Just a quick post to share a little news with you…I am married! :)
Last Saturday we had a small wedding ceremony at the register office here in London! It was intimate and simple and I loved every minute of it! It was a beautiful day and such a treat to be able to do this without any stress!
But of course this is not all! The bigger and better and more stressful wedding is going to take place this Sunday in Rome, Italy. I am flying off in two hours, hence the quick post! ;)
My DYI wedding bouquet, which I put together with £10 two hours before the ceremony!
After the ceremony, we went to Brixton Village for an ‘aperitivo’ at Yum D, where we shared little Thai plates and delicious prawn crackers, toasting with champagne.
We then hopped on the bus for a few stops to Stockwell, where we had lunch at the Michelin-starred gastropub Canton Arms.
I live 10 minutes walk from the pub and I’ve been meaning to try it for a long time. Finally I had the perfect excuse for it! We dropped in around 2pm, so a few items from the menu of the day were sold out. We still had a nice selection of starters and main courses and most of all, I was blown away by the quality of the food!
We had a great lunch and I couldn’t have asked for a better location: the elegant, airy, bright, quiet back room of the Canton Arms was the most comfortable place to stay for a few hours with a few good friends!
A huge THANK YOU to all that joined us on Saturday or congratulated us afterwards with the kindest words!
To be continued…
