Whether it’s the food, beauty, history, or lifestyle, there is a lot to love about Italy. The people have a warmth, romance surrounds you and it’s a place of effortless fashion. Sadly, for many people, this love affair is followed by a trip back home and to reality.

However, there are ways you can show your love of Italy. This can be in what you wear, how you decorate your home or even how you let its culture inspire you. Here you’ll find some great ideas.

Wear an Italian Themed T-Shirt

Given how Italy is known for its excellent fashion, you can reflect your love of the country through your fashion choices. One of the best ways to do this is with Italian t-shirts, with many styles available.

You may want to showcase funny Italian shirts or display your love of the language with t-shirts in Italian. They allow you to broadcast your love for the country and are sure to start conversations with those who share a similar affection.

It could be that you want to showcase some beautiful Italian language or highlight one of its many beautiful cities. Whether you are strolling around town or just chilling at home, they are a great way to showcase your love.

Even more fun is how some of them have references that only other enthusiasts will understand. Others have puns in Italian that only those who speak the language would instantly get. These t-shirts can act as your own private joke with other Italy lovers.

Bring Italian Flavours into Your Cooking

Even more than fashion, Italy is known for its incredible cooking. Not many countries can boast being the home of so many famous dishes. Whether it’s pizza, bolognese, lasagne, risotto, or carbonara, the list of Italy’s culinary delights is almost never-ending.

One of the worst things about visiting Italy is coming home and realising you can’t enjoy the same authentic food anymore. You can change that by turning your own kitchen into uan Italian trattoria with fresh ingredients and some practice.

You can even invite your friends around for a three-course meal of bruschetta, a homemade pasta dish, and finish it off with a tiramisu. This can all be topped off with a bottle of Chianti or Prosecco, a light-bodied sparkling white wine from northeastern Italy. Just because you’re not in Italy, it doesn’t mean you can’t eat some delicious Italian food.

Learn the Italian Language

For English speakers, the Italian language is one of the easiest to learn. That’s partly due to there being plenty of similar vocabulary, especially due to many Italian and English words coming from Latin.

Phonetic pronunciations are quite simple and the grammar used is logical for those whose native tongue is English. That all means that if you’ve always loved the idea of speaking Italian, you can quite easily turn that dream into a reality.

This can no doubt give you a deeper connection with Italy. If you love the country, then you will most likely plan to visit it many times in the future. Knowing Italian can not only make this more fun but can also give you the confidence to visit more rural places where English speakers may not be as common as in big cities.

It will also allow you to immerse yourself more deeply in Italian culture. This includes engaging with Italian art, listening to opera and watching Italian film without subtitles. It will enrich your cultural experience and also give you a huge sense of achievement.

Surround Yourself with Italian Style

Another great way to bring a little bit of Italy into your life is to surround yourself with decor from the country. This could be little touches, such as adding more earthy tones to your living spaces, or bigger projects, such as adding terracotta tiles to your kitchen or installing some decorative wooden beams.

Italian furniture can also be some of the best in the world and is commonly loved for its clean lines and bold accents. You can also display your love in a bit more of an obvious way with travel posters and pictures from your holidays.

Along with cool Italian t-shirts, you can transform your wardrobe with additions such as cut leather jackets, handcrafted shoes and silk scarves. You may even want to look at some infamous Italian designers, such as Versace, Armani and Prada.

Another alternative is to go more traditional, especially if you’re a fan of high-quality fabrics and unique patterns. Italy is known for its beautiful textiles and you can pick your favorite region to inspire your wardrobe. It could be you love the rich silks of Como, fell in love with Florence and its intricate leatherwork, or want to showcase the famous wool from Biella. Whatever you choose, there are many great ways to showcase your love for this awe-inspiring country.
